Bottle banks are free and there's one in nearly every town. Check www.recycle.ie for the nearest. It really irritates me when I see this as sometime people use the recycling charge as a reason not to recycle, whereas dumping something such as glass which can be recycled for free is just a indication of some peoples don't care/anti-social attitude to their environment. Its such a beautiful walk if one ignores all the rubbish scattered about! The most shocking part mustve been the lack of surprise I felt when I saw so much rubbish piled in heaps in the forestry!!
